The first hotel sprang up on Cancun’s beaches almost 30 years ago and today the city has over 26,000 first class hotel rooms to offer the tourism industry. This growth is the result of the joint efforts of the federal, state and municipal governments and the private sector, and is still a work in progress. For this reason, today Cancun offers visitors an enormous variety of opportunities to relax, have fun and create some unforgettable memories.
