Cobá once occupied
an area of almost 100 square kilometers (60 mi). The pyramid
of Nohoch Mul 43 meters higth is the tallest pre hispanic
structure in the Yucatan Peninsula.
The most important structures at the site are La Iglesia a
26 meter higth pyramid, the eight stelae and nine circular
altars of the Macanxoc group, and the Conjunto de PInturas.
