Travel documents

 

International travel requires proper documentation for personal identification and proof of citizenship. Determining and providing this documentation is the responsibility of the traveler. If proper documentation is not provided when checking in for your flight, you can be denied boarding.
Proof of citizenship:

1. Valid passport
2. Original state, county, or vital statistics issued birth certificate.

Note: hospital birth certificates or photocopies are not acceptable.

If you are not using a valid passport, you must present a photo i.d. issued by a government authority, such as a drivers license, with your proof of citizenship.

If you are not a u.s. citizen, please check with the appropriate consulate to determine documentation requirements*

Minors traveling with one parent or without either parent must present a notarized letter of permission from the absent parent(s). If a letter can not be obtained from the absent parent, custody papers or a death certificate must be presented. Children under the age of 16, if traveling with a parent, are not required to present a photo i.d. failure to provide documentation on traveling minors will result in denied boarding.
